A puja for a loved one far away

Living abroad and want a puja for your parents in India, or the other way round? Book it for them: the pandit performs it with their names in the sankalp, and we send ONE shared Google Meet link so the whole family joins from wherever they are, in one call.

How it works

  1. Tell us who the puja is for, their city, and where the rest of the family will join from.
  2. We fix a time that suits every time zone and send one Google Meet link to share with the family.
  3. Everyone joins the same call; the pandit names the whole family in the sankalp.

Book a Mangal Dosh puja (मंगल दोष शांति) performed live for your family on a one-on-one video call. An experienced pandit we work with recites the sankalp with your names and gotra and leads the worship of Mangal (Mars), usually with Hanuman, while you make the offerings at your home altar, anywhere in the world. Below is an honest account of the dosh and of the puja.

01What the Mangal Dosh Puja is, and when families hold it

Mangal dosh, the condition of being Manglik, is said to be present when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of a birth chart, counted from the lagna and, in many traditions, also from the Moon and Venus. It is checked mostly before marriage. Classical rules also list many cancellations, for example when both partners are Manglik, or depending on the sign Mars is in, so a large share of charts that look Manglik at first are not, once the rules are applied. Our Mangal Dosha checker and Free Kundli show where Mars sits in your chart.

The Mangal shanti puja worships Mangal with his mantras and offerings, and in many families also Hanuman, whose day is the same Tuesday. The well-known temple for it is Mangalnath in Ujjain. Some traditions before marriage also hold a symbolic marriage rite (such as kumbh vivah); that is a separate rite, and we will discuss it with you on WhatsApp if your family asks.

02What the Mangal Dosh Puja is traditionally done for

  • Traditionally done when the kundli shows Mangal dosh before marriage.
  • Traditionally done for calm in relationships and at home.
  • Traditionally done for courage and steadiness.

When: on Tuesdays, before marriage talks, or on a muhurat chosen from the kundli.

03Count, duration, and what is included

The Mangal mantra 1,008, 5,000, 10,000 or 40,000 times. Typical durations are listed in each package below; the price, the date, the time and how long the puja takes are confirmed with you on WhatsApp when you book.

Included in every package:

  • Either a live call or a video recording of the puja if you cannot attend, never both
  • All samagri, arranged by the pandit at no extra charge
  • Sankalp in your family's names and gotra
  • Date and muhurat worked out for your city
  • Keepsake certificate after the puja (Certificate included)

Not included:

  • Shipping of prasad
  • Any in-person visit by a pandit

04How the Mangal Dosh Puja works by video call

The Mangal Dosh Puja is performed live by an experienced pandit we work with, on a one-on-one video call with your family. You stay at home, anywhere in the world, and do the offerings with your own hands while the pandit leads. The steps:

  1. Book on WhatsApp: Message us on WhatsApp with the puja you want, your city and country, and your time zone. The button on this page fills in the puja and your time zone for you; you add your city.
  2. Choose the date and muhurat: We suggest dates and times in your own local time. Where the puja calls for a muhurat (an auspicious window), it is worked out from the panchang for the city you are in, not for India.
  3. Samagri arranged for you: The pandit arranges all the samagri for the puja, at no extra charge; you only need a clean, quiet place at home to sit for the call.
  4. Join the video call: At the agreed time you join a one-on-one video call with the pandit from your home altar, on WhatsApp video or Google Meet, whichever your family prefers. It is your family's call alone.
  5. Sankalp with your names and gotra: The pandit begins with the sankalp: the formal statement of the place, the date, the names of the family members, your gotra and the intention of the puja.
  6. The puja: The pandit recites the mantras and guides each offering step by step, so that the hands placing the flowers, the water and the lamp are your own.
  7. Aarti: The puja closes with aarti: you wave the lamp at your altar while the pandit sings, and the whole family can join in.
  8. Prasad guidance: The pandit tells you how to offer and share the prasad, and what to do afterwards with the flowers, the kalash water and the other offerings.

On the call the pandit leads the Ganesh puja and the kalash, then the worship of Mangal with his mantra and the red offerings, and often the Hanuman Chalisa or a Hanuman puja. Where a small havan is possible at home, the pandit guides the ahutis; the puja closes with aarti.

05Who it suits

It suits people whose chart has been read as Manglik and who wish to pray about it, often before marriage, and families who want a calm, traditional rite rather than an anxious one.

06Timing and muhurat

Tuesdays are the traditional day, and many families prefer one with a favourable nakshatra and tithi, or Angaraki Chaturthi (a Chaturthi that falls on a Tuesday). We compute the muhurat for your city; dates can also be browsed in the Muhurta Finder.

07Booking, payment and rescheduling

All bookings are made on WhatsApp. You pay on WhatsApp by UPI (in India), PayPal, USDT or card-to-USDT; nothing is paid on this website. Payments are not refundable, but you can reschedule up to two times if you tell us at least 48 hours before the puja (see our refund policy).

The call is on WhatsApp video or Google Meet, whichever your family prefers. The pandit performs the puja in Sanskrit and speaks Hindi; a team member who speaks English joins the live call to help families who prefer English.

If your family cannot attend live, the pandit performs the puja for you and we send you a video of it instead. It is either a live call or a video recording, never both: a live call is not recorded. The price, the date, the time and how long the puja takes are confirmed with you on WhatsApp when you book.

How do I book the Mangal Dosh Puja by video call, and how do I pay?
Tap "Book on WhatsApp" and send the message with your city and time zone. We agree the date, the time and the details with you there. You pay on WhatsApp by UPI (in India), PayPal, USDT or card-to-USDT; nothing is paid on this website.
What if we need to change the date?
You can reschedule up to two times if you tell us at least 48 hours before the puja. Payments are not refundable; the refund policy page has the full terms.
