What 'detailed' means
Detailed Kundli: what it actually contains
"Detailed Kundli" can mean almost anything. At ProperPandit it means a specific list: the birth chart and Navamsa, all sixteen divisional charts, planetary and house strength, every dasha with dates, the yogas explained, life-area chapters, the year ahead and your Varshaphala. All of it is in the 84-page Janma Granth, and much of it is free online. Here is the list, item by item.
Rashi, Navamsa, vargas
The charts
- Rashi chart (D1): the birth chart, in the North Indian diamond style, with whole-sign houses counted from the Lagna.
- Navamsa (D9): each sign divided into nine; read for marriage and for the inner strength of each planet.
- Shodashvarga, all sixteen divisional charts: D1, D2, D3, D4, D7, D9, D10, D12, D16, D20, D24, D27, D30, D40, D45 and D60, with every planet's sign in each.
- Bhava Chalit chart: houses measured from the rising degree, for comparison with the whole-sign houses.
- The Vedhshala: the planets drawn at their real longitudes on a sky dial, as they stood at your birth.
Bala and bindus
Planetary and house strength
- Dignity: each planet's exaltation, own sign, friend's or enemy's sign, or debilitation.
- Shadbala: the six-fold strength of each planet, with its ratio to the classical minimum.
- Ashtakavarga: each planet's bindus, and the Sarvashtakavarga that shows which houses are well supported.
- Planetary friendship: natural, temporary and compound, as Parashara sets them out.
Periods and transits
Dashas and timing
- Vimshottari dasha: the nine mahadashas with dates, and the antardashas.
- Other dashas: Yogini, Ashtottari and Jaimini Chara dasha, in the appendix.
- Sade Sati: Saturn's passages over your Moon sign.
- Transits: when Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu change sign in the next twelve months, and a five-year calendar.
- Varshaphala: the annual chart for this year of life, its Muntha, year lord, Tajika contacts, Sahams and Mudda dasha.
Yogas, doshas, life areas

- Yogas, explained: each yoga found, with its rule, its meaning and why it applies in your chart.
- The dosha scale: how present each dosha is after its cancellations.
- The panchang of your birth: tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana at the birth moment.
- Life by domain: marriage, career, wealth, children, education, property, travel and health.
- For the pandit: Chara karakas, Arudha padas, the Prastara Ashtakavarga, Gulika and Mandi, and the Ghatak Chakra.
Every one of these comes from the same computation, so the dashas, doshas and domains cannot disagree with each other. The book's "Choices We Made" chapter names each convention: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign houses, the mean lunar node.

Frequently asked questions
Which divisional charts are included?
All sixteen of the Shodashvarga: D1, D2, D3, D4, D7, D9, D10, D12, D16, D20, D24, D27, D30, D40, D45 and D60. The Navamsa (D9) is drawn as a full chart; the book also tabulates every planet's sign in each varga.
Is a detailed Kundli the same as a Kundli PDF?
Not quite. The free two-page PDF is a summary. The detailed Kundli is the 84-page Janma Granth, which contains everything on this page.
Does it include KP or Lal Kitab?
No. The Janma Granth is a Parashari Kundli with Jaimini and Tajika appendices. Lal Kitab has its own page on ProperPandit.
How accurate are the calculations?
They are as accurate as the birth details. The planets are computed for your exact birth moment and place, in the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa of date. A wrong birth time moves the Lagna and the houses, so use the certificate time if you can.
