Ekadashi 2027: Dates and Parana Times
Below is every Ekadashi fast in 2027 for New Delhi, with its name, the fasting date, and the parana time (when to break the fast the next day). The date shown first is the Smarta (household) date. In some months the Vaishnava (ISKCON) fast falls one day later; those months are marked and both dates are given.

Why some Ekadashis have two dates
Smarta households fast on the day whose sunrise falls in Ekadashi tithi. Vaishnava (ISKCON) devotees also avoid a day when Dashami (the tenth tithi) is still running in the 96 minutes before sunrise, so in those months their fast moves to the next day. Neither date is wrong: follow the tradition of your family or temple.
What the parana time means
Parana is breaking the fast. It is done on the next day after sunrise, while Dwadashi tithi is still running, and not during Hari Vasara (the first quarter of Dwadashi). The time shown is the preferred slot: early morning when possible, otherwise the afternoon after Hari Vasara ends.
Check any single day on the daily Panchang, or book an online puja for an Ekadashi.
Frequently asked questions
How many Ekadashis are there in 2027?
Every lunar month has two Ekadashis, one in each fortnight, so a year has 24 and sometimes 25 within the calendar year. The exact count for 2027 is the length of the list on this page.
Should I follow the Smarta or the Vaishnava date?
Households usually follow the Smarta date; ISKCON and other Vaishnava followers keep the Vaishnava date. When they differ, this page gives both.
Do the dates change for my city?
They can. An Ekadashi depends on the tithi at local sunrise, so a city far from New Delhi may fast a day earlier or later, and the parana time always changes. Use the Panchang for your own place.
